Swim 45 Squad Terms & Conditions: Safety and Wellbeing

Duty of Care

Your safety is our primary concern.  We are strongly committed to ensuring that we all have a safe and enjoyable experience.  We also ask that you take due care of yourself and others.

At the start of each Squad session we will remind you of some basic pool etiquette, aimed at looking after each other and staying safe.  Please be attentive to and follow any instructions given during the session.

These basics of safe swimming are also a key part of being a member and taking part in the early morning swims.

We reserve the right to halt a session or to stop someone taking part in any swim, coached or un-coached, if we believe they are putting themselves or others at risk of harm.

If we think a change in conditions make a session unsafe, such as sudden wintery weather making the road to Swim45 treacherous or the pool temperature dropping too low, we will let you know as soon as possible and seek to rearrange the session for a later, mutually agreed date.

Please note that Swim45 is an adult-only facility.

Your Health and Wellbeing

You must tell us of any conditions you have that might affect your ability to get the most out of each session.  We are very keen to make the Swim45 experience accessible and enjoyable to all so please tell us about any special needs or concerns you may have and we will see how we can best meet them.

We also ask you to be COVID alert, mindful of the concerns others may have as well as attentive to your own heath and wellbeing – and needless to say do not attend if you have any of the related symptoms or, more generally, feel unwell.

Cancellations

If you are unable to attend a one to one or Squad session, please let us know as soon as you can.  If several of you in a Squad cannot make a session we will endeavour to arrange an alternative date, agreeing with everyone what is possible.  Accommodating individual preferences or needs may not be possible.  No refunds for missed sessions are possible, though we will endeavour to find ways of helping you make up for what you have missed.

The Surrounding Area

Everyone using the pool is asked to be particularly mindful of building work going on at the nearby site when arriving and leaving.  We will alert you to any specific potentially harmful hazards that might arise.

No spectators or other non-participants are admitted on site.

Privacy

Any contact details of yours are kept only so we can communicate Members’ or Squad related information and updates.  We will not pass these on to any other person or organisation.

All video footage and photos of you swimming will be deleted after sending you your Swim Analysis.  Please do not take any photos of the site or of others without their permission.

Respect

Finally, we hold very high standards of respect for all.  If you experience a problem or are left uneasy, please let us know.  At the same time we ask you to show respect and consideration for other swimmers, for the Swim45 team and the facilities.

The pool is private, at the owner’s family home, so we also ask you to respect their privacy, in particular staying within the pool area.

We reserve the right to stop any swimmer from attending if we feel they have been disrespectful of or abused others or the facilities.

At the time of becoming a member or joining a Squad you will be asked to confirm by email reply that you understand and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
